Thierry Henry admits his concern ahead of Liverpool's trip to Arsenal on Sunday
Thierry Henry has admitted his concern about Liverpool’s form heading into their Premier League opener against Arsenal next weekend.
The Reds were in impressive form as they brushed aside Barcelona 4-0 at Wembley as they completed their pre-season preparations in north London.
Jurgen Klopp is currently gearing up for his first full season in charge at Anfield after being appointed as they club’s new manager back in October.
Klopp’s side face a tricky trip to The Emirates to take on Arsenal on Sunday as the Premier League kicks off.
And Henry admits that he is concerned about the impressive performance Liverpool put in against Barcelona in the build-up to their clash with Arsenal.
Speaking on Sky Sports after Saturday’s game at Wembley, Henry said: “I would be [worried about Liverpool].
“I would be worried to play that Liverpool side I’ve seen today. The only positive thing for me is that the game is at The Emirates.”
Arsenal finished second in the Premier League table last season, 10 points behind surprise champions Leicester City.
Liverpool, meanwhile, ended up in eighth place in Klopp’s first campaign in charge.
