Arsenal are reportedly still keeping tabs on Anderlecht’s midfielder Youri Tielemans.
Arsenal scouts heavily watched the youngster last season and it was thought we were going to make a summer move but nothing concrete happened.
The player had offers from other clubs but he felt continuing with Anderlecht was the best for his career and snubbed advances to move abroad.
With the winter transfer window drawing closer, the midfielder’s name is up in the rumour mill again.
According to the Daily Star via Tribal Football, Arsenal are among a host of clubs still interested in the midfielder but it is Manchester United who is now credited with the most interest and the Old Trafford club will send scouts to watch the midfielder in action again.
Should Manchester United step up their interest, Wenger could be force to rival them for the youngster’s signature. We have been keeping tabs on him for more than one year and the boss may not want to lose him without a fight.
However, I think the midfielder will not be leaving Anderlecht anytime soon as he only just returned from a severe injury he sustained in September and he would want to remain where he is settled until he recovers fully.
Tielemans made his debut for Anderlecht at the age of 16 and at 19, he has already made over a century of league appearances for the Belgium club so it is not difficult to understand why we are monitoring him so keenly.
