Confirmed: Player of the year to undergo Arsenal medical on Wednesday ahead of move

Bolton Wanderers defender Rob Holding will undergo a medical at Arsenal to become the club's third summer signing, Metro has confirmed.

According to the report, the Gunners made two offers before reaching an agreement with Bolton for £2.5million.
Other clubs were interested in the youngster but he decided to move to the Emirates to work under manager Arsene Wenger.
Holding won the Bolton player of the year award last season.

Former forward John McGinlay said last month that the youngster would be wasted at Bolton Wanderers this season.
"Let's be completely honest, he would be wasted in League One," the striker told the Bolton News.
"It would hold him back.
"The club can take a great deal of credit for nurturing his talent, for giving him the opportunity, and the lad himself should take a lot of credit too.
"In an ideal world you would keep him, make him captain, build a team around him. But the situation we're in right now it makes sense for all parties to look around at his options."
