Arsenal officially announced the have completed the signing of Lucas Perez from Deportivo.
The 27,year old striker is expected to compete with Olivier Giroud upfront and report claims he will be handed the jinxed Arsenal jersey number 9.
The 27 year old forward was unveiled on Arsenal’s website with Manager Arsene Wenger welcoming him to the club.Wenger was quoted saying, “He’s not only a goalscorer, he’s a guy who combines well with partners, who can give a final ball and makes good runs. He’s got a good eye for goal and had an outstanding season last year.”A product of Atletico Madrid’s youth academy, Perez had spells in Ukraine and Greece before joining his home town club Deportivo in 2014.
The striker score 19 goals last season, whilst providing an additional 8 assists to be the most productive Spanish striker in La Liga.
