Arsenal have reportedly moved ahead in their pursuit of signing a new defender by contacting Monaco’s and Congolese defender Marcel Tisserand’s agent, as per report from French media.
The 23-year-old Congo international can play as both a right-back as well as a central defender and according to report coming from GFFN.

Arsene Wenger who is reportedly keen on strengthening his defensive options ahead of this upcoming season has showed his interest on the Congolese.
The report also went on claiming that the Gunners representatives ahead of a potential switch have contacted the Congolese’s agent, but it appears the deal is on the verge of collapsing, as Tisserand is reportedly in talks with St. Etienne.

We were handed a transfer boost on Thursday morning, as Valencia Chief admitted that long-standing target German international Shkodran Mustafi would leave the Mestalla this summer in order to balance the club books.

Wenger, speaking to reporters about potential incoming players after his side loses 4-3 to Liverpool during the opening match on Sunday. The Frenchman was quoted by Daily Star, that, “It was important before the [Liverpool] game.
“It’s not my money. It’s important to spend money the right way.”
After the unimpressive match crushing defeat from Liverpool at the Emirates, we will be playing away with the reigning Premier League champions for our second round of Premier League fixtures this Saturday.
However, whether or not the Frenchman signed the Congolese international, the pressure of his neck is still mounting on his neck after he’s failed in his pursuit to sign the likes of Alvaro Morata and more recently Lyon’s and his compatriot Alexandre Lacazette.
