Player Ratings: Hull 1-4 Arsenal – How did we rate Mustafi and Walcott?

Petr Čech: 6  When rarely called upon, he was able to do the job but conceding that penalty to Mbokani was a moment which could have gone better.
Héctor Bellerín: 6  Had an average game both going forward and defensively. Nothing special but nothing woeful either from the Spaniard today.
Shkodran Mustafi: 8 – Did well to nullify the threat of Abel Hernández in what was his first ever away game in the Premier League.
Laurent Koscielny: 7  Some of his passes were not on-song but he did the best he could to hold off the threat of Hull on the break.

Nacho Monreal: 6 – Like Bellerin, he was not called into action much because of the telling contributions from Iwobi on the left and Walcott on the right today.
Francis Coquelin: 7 – It was another attacking-minded performance from him today and he did well to force that penalty-kick – one of several occasions he found himself in the box
Santi Cazorla: 7.5 – Impressive show in midfield, linking up very well with the rest of the attack. His substitution was very necessary because of a possible sending off.
Theo Walcott: 8 – His final ball from the right was often dangerous for the Hull defense and that goal was very fitting of a decent performance.

Mesut Özil: 7 – He did not have to create much since the others in attack stepped up their game.
Alex Iwobi: 9 – Certainly man of the match. He forced what was a very vital opening goal (considering how United were frustrated at the KC stadium recently). His assist for Walcott has to be one of the best of the season so far.
Alexis Sánchez: 8.5 – He was always involved and to be fair the first goal might not have beaten the goalkeeper if it wasn’t for his deflection. Missed a penalty and showed his character and quality by scoring an important third goal when the game was in danger of drifting away.

Substitutes

Granit Xhaka produced arguably the highlight of the day with his brilliant goal while Elneny and Perez had little time to make a difference.
