‘Sign Him Now’ Manager Urge Wenger To Complete Deal For Skillful Midfielder

Arsenal first team coach Neil Banfield has urged the club to sign Napoli midfielder Jorginho, via theIbtimes.
The 24 year old midfielder was scouted by the Gunners on numerous occasions last season but Wenger is yet to follow up with an official offer this summer. The midfielder was so impressive for Napoli last season that it is claimed the Italian club would demand a huge fee if they are to sell him this summer and Banfield says if he was given a blank cheque, he would sign Jorginho.

“There is a footballer in Naples (for whom I) would sign a blank cheque. This football player is Jorginho – the strongest midfielder currently in the Serie A. Watching him play is a pleasure for the eyes, it makes me mad,” Banfield said.
Banfield was also questioned about the Gunners reported interested in Gonzalo Higuain, the coach refused to confirm nor deny reports linking the striker to the Emirates but revealed that the occasions he attended Napoli’s game in the past, he wasn’t there to watch the Argentine striker claiming the striker is not a player who needs to be scouted.

“Of course not,” he said, when asked if he came to see Higuain in the past. “There are two categories of players: those to be observed and which ones to buy.
“For Higuain, you do not need to scout or to prepare a report. The whole world knows about him. You just have to decide whether to prepare a bid to go and buy, or not.”

“I cannot say that it is true, and I cannot say that it is false. What is certain, it is that Arsenal have liked Higuain since he was at Real Madrid and Wenger wanted to take him to London at that time,” Banfield concluded.
It is unlikely that Wenger would sign Jorginho this summer as the club recently completed the signing of Granit Xhaka from Borussia Monchenglabach.
